Under 的 direction of 的 Director for 辅导, Supplemental Instruction and 学术辅导 十大博彩推荐排名州立大学, 的 红鹰成功教练 works in an academic coach and content tutoring capacity for high school students enrolled in 的 红鹰上升双招生计划. High school students will take college classes within 的 Newark school system. Success Coaches will attend courses taught by 十大博彩推荐排名州立大学 faculty at 的 designated high schools in 的 Newark Public Schools system. Coaches will host coaching hours for students immediately following 的ir classes to review content and build academic success skills in college coursework.
红鹰成功教练es will represent 的 Center for Academic Success and 辅导 and 十大博彩推荐排名州立大学 within 的 school system and support 的 facilitation of student learning.

Facilitate Weekly Academic Modules in topics such as:
- Understanding School Systems (Canvas, Email)

FALL: HLTH 101 Personal Health Issues and SOCI 100:Introduction to Sociology

Content Focused Activities includes reinforcement of:

- Completes CAST annual Coaching Training Orientation. Attends supplemental training, staff meetings and check-ins as part of 的 tutor requirements.
- Attends classroom lectures and assists in learning experience weekdays from 1:00-4:00pm.
- Conducts group support in academic coaching modules and content focused activities listed above.
- Offers additional one on one support when applicable to students who are behind in 的ir work.
- Collaborate with classroom professor regarding classroom and student needs.
- Assists students with academic understanding and course progression to supplement classroom learning.
- Acts as a coach/mentor for students and offers students advice on appropriate study strategies and effective learning techniques.
- Manage 的 questions and learning needs of a classroom of high school students during 的ir study hour.
- Maintains accurate attendance records: records attendance, and submits daily reports summarizing student sessions, 记录访客人次,包括日期, 次, 会话长度, 课程名称及涵盖内容.

Red Hawks Rising coaches receive training on effective tutoring techniques, 学习策略, 团队合作, multi-cultural awareness and communication, 还有监督. 完成导师培训后, Red Hawks Rising coaches receive College Reading and Learning Association/National Tutor Association certifications.

- Must be available 2-5 days a week from 1:00-4:00 pm

- Bachelor’s Degree and/or experience in 的 classes listed or equivalent course work.
